Japan Tourist Visa Requirements

1. Original Passport (Valid for 3 months)
2. Photos with 80% face coverage (45mmx35mm with white background)
3. Application Form (duly filled)
4. Original Covering Letter (duly signed by the applicant) (all accompany persons, travelling dates, expenses clause details must be mentioned)
5. Original NOC / Leave Approval letter from Company.
6. If self Employed GST Certificate should be submitted.
7. Latest updated Bank Statement in applicants name till the date of submission of application for 3 months and IT Returns Acknowledgement Only last (TWO) 2 years and latest pay slips (3months)
8. Accommodation (to be blocked under applicant/accompanying person’s name) If travelling alone only one guest should be reflected in the hotel accommodation.
9. Day-to-day Schedule.
10. Blocked round trip Tickets. (tickets from Bangalore both inward and outward)

Other Documentation

1. For doctors KMC certificate and for lawyers Bar council card.
2. For landlords/agriculturist property document is required
3. For students Bonafide letter/certificate from school/institution.
4. Accompanying person’s passport copy and tickets and Visa copy. (if accompany person is travelling from other state or country also)
5. Applicant travelling to third country after travelling to Japan need to submit third countries visa copy.
6. If sponsored, Letter from the Sponsor and his/her financial documents (Latest updated Bank Statement (3 months) and IT Returns Acknowledgement Only (2 years) and sponsor ID copy.
7. If Divorced, Divorce decree is required.
8. If family or friends are travelling from Bangalore together, must submit their applications together.

*Consulate General of Japan in Bengaluru will process Visa applications only for residents of Karnataka.
*In some cases, applicants may be asked to submit extra documents, in addition to the documents
indicated above. In case the applicant does not submit them, Visa cannot be processed any further.

a) Concern letter from parents along with government issued photo id proof

b) Parent/s Last 3 years Income Tax Returns (In case ITR is not available, please submit bank statement of last six months)

• If the applicant is dependent wife/husband

Japan Business Visa Requirements

   and sing of company
5. Invitation letter from Japan
6. Guarantee letter from India or Japan
7. Day to day schedule
8. Incorporation certificate or GST certificate
9. It returns of the company for 2 years
10. Blocked round trip tickets. (tickets from Bangalore both inward and outward)

3. Day-to-day schedule as per the tickets

PLEASE NOTE: *Consulate General of Japan in Bengaluru will process Visa applications only for current residents of Karnataka. *In some cases, applicants may be asked to submit extra documents, in addition to the documents indicated above. In case the applicant does not submit them, Visa application cannot be processed any further.

• If the applicant is owner of company a. Proof of ownership (e.g. Director Identification Number approval issued from Ministry of Corporate Affairs or proprietorship document issued from bank or Import export license)
• A company listed on stock exchange does not need to submit a copy of the incorporation register or an overview of the company / organization. When an individual is extending an invitation, submit the Certificate of Employment in lieu of a copy of the incorporation register or an overview of the company / organization.
• Proof of Relationship, incase the applicant is accompanied by any dependant, i.e. Passport copy, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate.

Applicants who are eligible for a visa:

Those who meet the following requirements:

1. Indians residing in India or third-party nationals who live in India and legally stay in India for a long period of time (permanent residents or holders of long-term residence permits.)
2. A person who enters Japan via direct flights between India and Japan, or who enters Japan via third country without entering the third country.

. Purposes of visiting Japan for which applications can be accepted:

• Purposes eligible for short term visa Activities that do not involve compensation within 90 days of stay in Japan, such as business communication, business negotiations, contract signing, after-sales service, advertising, market research, conference attendance, cultural exchange, interaction between local authorities, sports meetups, etc
