Important Vietnam Visa Information

1. Visa Validity (Very Important)

Vietnam E-Visa validity is not calculated from the date of entry. It is calculated from the arrival date selected in the visa application.

The date selected in the application becomes the Visa Start Date.
The visa remains valid for the next 30 consecutive days.
If you enter Vietnam later than your selected arrival date, the visa will still expire on the original expiry date.
There is no separate travel window or extension of validity based on your actual arrival date.

Example:
Arrival Date Selected: 10 March
Visa Validity: 10 March – 9 April

If the passenger enters Vietnam on 15 March, they can stay only until 9 April, not for 30 days from the date of entry.

Important: Once the visa is issued, the validity dates cannot be changed.

2. Port of Entry (Airport Selection)

While applying for a Vietnam E-Visa, applicants must select the first airport where they enter Vietnam.

Immigration clearance takes place at the first airport of arrival.
Domestic connecting flights are taken only after completing immigration.

Example:
Route: Dubai → Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) → Hanoi (HAN)

Correct Port of Entry: Ho Chi Minh City – Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN)

Warning: Selecting the wrong port of entry may lead to airline boarding denial or immigration issues upon arrival.
