Netherlands Visa Checklist

(Tourist / Business Visa – Schengen Short Stay)

Mandatory Documents (for all applicants):

1. Visa Application Form – Duly filled and signed
   [Download from VFS or Netherlands Embassy website]

2. Valid Passport

   • Must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the return date

   • Minimum 2 blank pages

   • Include copies of all pages of current and old passports

3. 2 Recent Passport Size Photos

   • Size: 35mm x 45mm

   • White background, matte finish

   • Taken within the last 6 months

4. Cover Letter

   • Mention purpose of travel, travel dates, and applicant’s profile

   • For business visa, it should be on company letterhead

5. Travel Itinerary

   • Flight reservation with entry & exit dates

   • Hotel booking or invitation letter from Netherlands host

6. Travel Medical Insurance

   • Minimum coverage: €30,000

   • Must cover entire Schengen area and entire duration of stay

7. Proof of Financial Means

   • Last 3–6 months bank statements

   • ITR / Form 16 for last 3 years

   • Salary slips (if employed) or business registration (if self-employed)

8. Proof of Occupation

   • Employed: NOC from employer + Leave letter

   • Self-employed: Business registration (GST, MSME, etc.)

   • Students: School/college ID + leave letter

   • Retired: Pension proof or retirement letter

9. Accommodation Proof

   • Hotel bookings (for tourists)

   • OR invitation from Netherlands resident (with ID proof)

10. Proof of Civil Status

    • Marriage certificate (if applicable)

    • Birth certificates for minors traveling

    • Affidavit/NOC from parent (if minor is traveling with one parent)

For Business Visa (Additional):

• Invitation letter from Dutch company with full details (purpose, dates, who is paying)

• Company registration of Indian company

• Business card of applicant

Visa Fees (As of 2024):

• Schengen Visa Fee: ₹7,200 approx. (may vary slightly)

• VFS Service Fee: ₹2,000 approx.

• Courier/Biometrics Fees: additional if applicable
