France Tourist Visa Checklist

1. Application Form

• Completed and signed Schengen Visa Application Form

• Download from France-Visas website

2. Passport

• Original passport valid for at least 3 months beyond return date

• Minimum 2 blank pages

• Old passports, if any

3. Photograph

• Two recent passport-size photographs

  • 35mm x 45mm, white background, 80% face coverage

  • Taken within the last 6 months

4. Covering Letter

• On personal/company letterhead

• Purpose of visit, travel dates, and itinerary

• Addressed to The Visa Officer, Embassy/Consulate of France

5. Travel Itinerary

• Confirmed round-trip flight reservation

• Day-wise tour plan or hotel bookings

6. Accommodation Proof

• Confirmed hotel bookings for the entire stay

• If staying with a host: copy of invitation letter + host’s ID/residency proof

7. Travel Insurance

• Valid across Schengen countries

• Minimum coverage: EUR 30,000

• Covers medical emergencies and repatriation

8. Financial Documents

To prove sufficient funds for stay (~EUR 120/day if no accommodation is prepaid):

• Last 3-6 months' bank statements, signed & stamped

• Income tax returns or Form 16 (last 2 years)

• Salary slips (last 3 months) if employed

• Pension proof, if retired

9. Employment/Status Documents

Depending on your profile:

• Salaried: NOC from employer + leave approval letter

• Self-employed: Business registration, GST certificate, IT returns

• Student: ID card, NOC from school/college

• Retired: Pension order/slip

• Unemployed: Sponsorship documents from sponsor (affidavit + financials)

10. PAN Card & Aadhaar Copy

(Not mandatory but often requested)

11. Visa Fee

• Approx. €80 (~INR 7,200) (subject to change)

• VFS service charges extra

  France Business Visa Checklist

1. Visa Application Form

• Completed and signed Schengen Visa Application Form

• Available on France-Visas website

2. Passport

• Original passport, valid at least 3 months beyond return

• Minimum 2 blank pages

• Include all old passports, if applicable

3. Photographs

• Two recent passport-size photos

  • Size: 35mm x 45mm

  • White background, matte finish

  • Not older than 6 months

4. Covering Letter from Indian Company

• On company letterhead

• Mention: applicant’s name, designation, purpose of visit, duration of stay, who will bear the costs

• Addressed to: The Visa Officer, Embassy/Consulate of France

5. Invitation Letter from French Company

• Must be on official letterhead of the inviting company in France

• State purpose of visit, dates, duration, and who is bearing expenses

• Include company’s registration number (SIRET)

6. Travel Itinerary

• Confirmed round-trip flight reservation

• Day-wise business travel schedule if available

7. Accommodation Proof

• Confirmed hotel reservation

• If host company provides accommodation, mention in the invitation letter

8. Travel Medical Insurance

• Valid for all Schengen countries

• Minimum coverage: EUR 30,000

• Should cover the full travel period

9. Financial Documents

To prove financial capability:

• Last 3-6 months’ personal bank statements

• Salary slips (last 3 months)

• IT returns or Form 16

• Company bank statements (optional)

10. Employment/Company Documents

• Company registration certificate / GST

• Company PAN card

• If employed: NOC from employer

• If self-employed: Proof of ownership, partnership deed, etc.

11. Proof of Identity

• PAN Card

• Aadhaar Card (optional)

12. Visa Fees

• Visa Fee: €80 (~₹7,200 INR)

• VFS Service Fee (approx. ₹2,000 extra)
